Just one breath.

Finding time to meditate can be tough. But don’t underestimate the power of even just taking a few conscious breaths during the day to give yourself a break from being lost in thought. There really is a huge difference between being lived by your thoughts and emotions versus having the intention to be aware of them--even if finding time and inclination to meditate seems impossible.

Your mind is how you experience the world; it is the lens through which you perceive and act.

The desire to understand it--to really see what consciousness is like before it is distorted by the thinking mind jumping in and wanting things to be different--is an ongoing adventure. And there is a big difference between having that intention to know your mind and not having it. So give yourself some credit for simply having the aspiration to understand this amazing thing that is you in each moment—even if all you can do is take that one conscious breath.
